SEO. DO we all know what it means? No, to be honest and neither did I until my marketing class at Auburn. Through further instruction and learning with the marketing class at Auburn, and my style and design class, but mostly my marketing classes at Auburn, I learned that SEO means search engine optimization. Now you might be thinking, how is that little definition going to help me understand what SEO fully means. I can tell you, through my marketing class at Auburn, I truly learned how important SEO is and why it is crucial for marketing, in whatever type you go into.
Through my marketing class at Auburn, although as of now it was only one semester's worth of information, I was able to learn about how important SEO really is. Marketing at Auburn is a really big field and it is also a really good field to go into if you are not sure what you want to do as a career (honestly as most college kids my age). Although I am able to confidently say what I'm wanting to achieve with my degree in public relations, the marketing classes at Auburn that I also have / had to take have been beneficial to helping me see what I want to do with the rest of my life. SEO in the marketing classes at Auburn are a very big deal. We learned how SEO’s really enhanced your customers' experience and helped them through their journey of purchasing your product or idea. Through the marketing classes at Auburn I was able to learn that SEO really just meant, in simpler terms, that you are able to see what you want to see when you need it. SEO, at least through the marketing classes at Auburn, really hammers home why your customer wants to buy your product or believe in your idea, It makes it easier for them to find the information they are needing at that point in time.
Now, I did take the marketing classes through Auburn route for my education on SEO, but there are plenty of ways to learn about it. Blogging is one of the main ways to learn about SEO and why it matters to regular people like us. Marketing classes at Auburn did give me the more sophisticated version of SEO but I have learned to adapt it to my own understanding and comprehension that not a lot of kids who take marketing classes at Auburn can do. For example, if I am wanting a specific type of shoe from TikTok that cannot be found other than these certain keywords, there is no chance. But, using SEO and the information from the marketing classes at Auburn, I know to look up “Nike Air Force One Valentine’s TikTok” and it is most likely going to pop up as the first suggestion. The importance of using SEO in blogging really makes your blog more accessible to audiences just like how they teach it in marketing classes at Auburn.
Our entire goal (as PR and marketing majors) is to get people to see our work and want to advocate for our work to be used and / or bought in order to complete our task. At least that is how the marketing classes at Auburn put it. But through further research and usage of SEO I know it can be used in a variety of ways other than what the marketing classes at Auburn teach you but also in a way for more literary people to use. Like making their blog higher up on the list from using certain words in their blogs constantly.
Marketing classes at Auburn have given me a great insight as to how to use SEO. and now that I have a solid foundation, thanks to the marketing classes at Auburn, I will be sure use it in my advantage to get my blogs recognized and the readers it truly deserves, as my blogs are very interesting and deserves some reads!
