We all dream of their 21st birthday after the age of 16 don’t we? The freedom of being able to go to bars (while not breaking the law) and purchase our own drinks is such an exciting feeling on the day we turn 21. While turning 21 in a pandemic has been a bit troubling with the party aspect, I still made do and now I’ve turned to helping my friends celebrate their 21st birthday. Along with celebrating, girls usually have an event called a 21st sign night, meaning they get a sign with all of their favorite things photoshopped on it and dares to complete by the end of the night. I took my style and design class at the perfect time it seems, because by the time all my friends began turning 21 and having their 21st sign nights, I was well versed in making signs in Photoshop.
To answer the question broadly, my new favorite design skill is being educated in Adobe, especially Photoshop. In more specific terms, using Photoshop to make signs for my friends’ 21st sign nights. Learning Photoshop has allowed me to show how much I love my friends and how excited I am to be celebrating their 21st sign night with them. It’s a fun way to make something special for them while being able to drink and party on their 21st sign nights. Photoshop is not only something I plan on using to make people’s signs for their 21st sign nights it’s a good tool to use in the professional world for when I get a real job after I graduate but for now it’s a fun way to express my love and appreciation through a party and a funny sign for everyone’s 21st sign night.
